MEASUREMENT OF ANTENNA PERFORMANCE
FOR ACTIVE ARRAY ANTENNAS WITH SPHERICAL
NEAR-FIELD SCANNING

In this paper, Dr. Doren Hess of MI Technologies addresses some of the issues faced by antenna engineers when testing active antennas. He reviews some of the features of phased arrays and reports on how MI Technologies has dealt with the issue of measuring the effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) and antenna patterns by the use of the spherical near-field scanning technique.

MI Technologies is sporting a new look! We're changing the look of our trade materials but, more importantly, we're updating our product and system "look", with a change of color and presentation. At AMTA 2009 in Salt Lake City, we'll be prominently presenting our new color schemes in our booth. Click here for the full story.
