Description The MI-640 Family of Floor Slides offers three classes
of linear positioning solutions for light, medium and heavy duty
load requirements. The slides are modular in design starting
with a base module containing the drive motor and system
connection bulkheads. Standard extension modules can be added as
needed to readily build a linear travel solution for most
requirements. All three classes offer motorized linear speeds up
to 5 ft/min (1.52 m/min). Manual drive systems are also
available. All MI-640 floor slides are available with Manual
(-H) or Motorized (-M) options and consist of one base module
minimum. Additional extension modules are added to meet or
exceed the desired travel length. See the table below for
standard configurations. These slides come with a cable carrier
for motor control and feedback. A second cable carrier is
available for RF, control and other cabling for units above the
MI-640 slide. Contact the factory for additional configurations
and customizations. Applications Floor slides are
primarily used as the base element of a positioning system
stack. They allow an entire stack of azimuth, elevation and
other linear and rotary axis to be repositioned linearly on the
range. This ability to accurately recenter the positioning stack
is critical for multipurpose systems. The floor slide is often
the most straightforward way to provide significant flexibility
and rapid repurposing of a system.
