Russell E. Parris is Vice President and Business Manager at MI Technologies.  In this position he is responsible for contractual terms and conditions, the order entry process, export and import matters and all external agreements. Russ also serves as the Facility Security Officer.  He has held this position since September 2000, after leaving EMS Technologies where he worked for 12 years in a variety of positions.

Russ served in the United States Air Force for 21 years, primarily in the field of intelligence.  His assignments included Ankara, Turkey; Washington, D.C. (twice); Dallas, Texas, where he studied Russian at Southern Methodist University; the Foreign Technology Division at Wright-Patterson AFB; and Tokyo, Japan, where he was a liaison officer to the Japanese General Staff.  In 1988, Russ joined EMS Technologies in Norcross, Georgia, initially in foreign sales and international business development.  In 1994, Russ was named to head the Space Components Group of EMS, which supplied ferrite-based microwave control components for a number of government and commercial satellite applications. 

Russ graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering.  He also holds a Master of Science degree in International Relations from the George Washington University and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Oklahoma.
