Technical Paper on Practical Radome
Measurements Available
Dr. Doren Hess, Robert Luna and
John McKenna have co-authored a paper entitled "Electromagnetic
Radome Measurements: A Review of Automated Systems". The MI
Technologies authors review three types of radome test systems:
far-field range, compact range, and near-field scanning ranges and
note the importance of digital automation used to make these
measurements practical.

Supports Microwave Antenna Measurements Short Course
Two members of MI Technologies'
technical staff will be among the instructors presenting a four-day
short course on Microwave Antenna Measurements July 25-28, conducted
through the University Extension Program at the University of
California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The course, which covers all aspects
of the measurement of microwave antennas, will be presented by a
number of distinguished experts in the microwave measurement
industry. From MI Technologies, Dr. Donald Bodnar, Vice President
Business Development, and Dr. Doren Hess, Senior Staff Engineer,
will present lectures throughout the week.

Receives Orders for Two Test Ranges from the Politecnico di Torino
(University), Italy
MI Technologies has received an
order for two test and measurement ranges for the Politecnico di
Torino (University), Italy. Under terms of the contract, MI
Technologies will design and install an outdoor far-field test range
in Torino and an indoor near-field test chamber at the school’s
Vercelli campus. The test ranges will be used for RF and microwave
antenna measurements.
