Job Description:
The Applications Engineer plays an essential role in the process of
understanding the customer’s needs, translating them into
requirements and formulating affordable solutions. The Applications
Engineer’s activity is directed to the customer by MI’s Marketing
and Sales organization. The Applications Engineer works closely with
the Customer and MI’s Program Office and Engineering Staff to create
the solution with the best value for the customer.
The Applications Engineer needs to have capabilities across
technical, marketing and business areas. This particular position
requires strong analytical skills to analyze complex technical
systems. The candidate should have 10+ years of significant
experience with proposals, customer interaction, and systems design
and analysis.
A strong background in Microwave Antenna design is preferred.
Additional desired background experience would include; RF System
Design, Microwave Component Selection and Specification, Microwave
Communications, and Hands-on Experience using a variety of Antenna
Test Ranges, and knowledge of mechanical positioning systems.
Familiarity with MATLAB, GRASP, HFSS and other industry analytical

Job Description:
MI Technologies currently has a need for an
Electrical Design Engineer in its Product Engineering department.
Product Engineering develops electronic equipment used in Automated
Microwave Measurement Systems, including Microwave Receivers,
Microwave Signal Sources, Position Control and specialty
instruments. The high performance demands of these Measurement
Systems drives the specifications for each product to very high
precision and accuracy.
Since Microwave
Instruments are continuing to move toward digital processing, the
primary skills required for this position are digital hardware
design, FPGA coding, low frequency analog circuit design, and unit
level product design. These skills include the ability to design
and analyze digital and analog circuits, select appropriate
components, develop schematics using OrCad, oversee board layout,
develop parts lists, and create a complete documentation package
including test procedures and instruction manuals. Unit-level
product design may also include selecting power supplies, producing
wiring harness drawings using Visio, and working with a Mechanical
engineer to develop unit packaging. The ability to test and
troubleshoot all designs in support of manufacturing and system
integration is also required.
The type of
work performed in Product Engineering varies significantly from time
to time. Therefore, in addition to these primary skills, the
flexibility and capability of contributing in one or more secondary
Product Engineering roles is required. These may include RF circuit
design, RF subsystem design, Digital Signal Processing, Microwave
measurement equipment architecture, Position Control & Measurement
equipment architecture, microwave components, and design and
integration of systems using these components and instruments.

Engineer to work within the Operations Organization. The
Manufacturing Engineer will support Manufacturing including capacity
planning, standard product cost analysis, assembly/manufacturing
tooling, MRP analysis and planning, engineering change order
processing, new product implementation, and program/project
planning. Additionally the qualified candidate will assist in
generating reports and tools and utilizing them to evaluate and
improve the various manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing
Engineer will also assist in Quality and help assure quality
practices and procedures are being followed, including corrective
action implementation. Also, the Manufacturing Engineer will
develop Quality improvement initiatives including writing

MI Technologies is looking for a Planner to support Program
Management within the Manufacturing Organization. The Planner
will be the key Manufacturing person responsible for different
programs, as related to content, schedule, engineering release
status, etc.. The Planner will have ownership responsibilities
for all Manufacturing activities including scheduling of work
through the factory and work order releases. Additionally, the
Planner will work with Program/proposal teams to assist in
developing cost estimates. The Planner will be expected to be
fully knowledgeable of all material and manufacturing related
issues, including schedule for each program assigned. The
Planner will be responsible for the communication process with
Manufacturing, Program Management, and Engineering on each
program assigned. In addition to program responsibilities, the
