MI Technologies Appoints Michael W. Murphy Vice President, Sales

Atlanta--Michael W. (Mike) Murphy has been named Vice President, Sales at MI Technologies, the Company announced.  In this new assignment, Murphy is responsible for the Company’s domestic and internationals sales. He reports to John E. Breyer, MI Technologies President and Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to being named Vice President of Sales, Murphy served as Vice President and Business Manager of MI Technologies’ Commercial and Communications business.  Prior to that he was Vice President and Business Manager of MI Technologies’ Customer Support business area. Murphy joined MI Technologies in 1999 as Director, Customer Support.

In making the announcement, John E. Breyer said, “Through his years of service at MI Technologies, Mike has developed keen insight into our customer’s requirements and the developing issues facing the global test and measurement market.  We are fortunate to have someone of Mike’s experience and ability to take on this key assignment.”

Murphy’s management career includes over 20 years of service with The Boeing Company and Rockwell International Corporation. Before joining MI Technologies, he served as the Site Director for The Boeing Company’s Phantom Works and Programs Manager, Advanced Systems at Boeing’s Military Aircraft and Missiles business in Duluth, Georgia. Prior to Boeing’s 1996 acquisition of the Space and Defense businesses of Rockwell International Corporation, Mike was Business Development Director for Rockwell’s Tactical Missiles business. His service at the Tactical Missiles business unit also included tenure as Program Manager and Operations Project Manager.

Over his career, Mike has been active in a number of industry and professional organizations, including the National Management Association, the Air Force Association, the Army Aviation Association, the Precision Strike Association, the Navy League, and the Antenna Measurement and Techniques Association. 

Mike holds a Master of Business Administration Degree in Business and Operations management from the Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Management from the University of Notre Dame.
