MI Technologies to Upgrade the Technical University of Denmark's Antenna Test and Measurement System

ATLANTA: MI Technologies announced today it has received an order from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) to provide an upgrade to an existing indoor spherical near-field antenna test and measurement system. The equipment will be used in the design, development and validation of space-related RF projects.

DTU is a leading technical university in northern Europe. The antenna test facility is a part of the Electromagnetic Systems section at the Ørsted DTU campus in Lyngby, Denmark near Copenhagen. Ørsted DTU's areas of instruction include space technology, remote sensing and antennas. The antenna test facility is operated in cooperation between DTU and the European Space Agency (ESA). The facility has provided ESA with accurately calibrated antennas for more than 20 years.

Under terms of the agreement, MI Technologies will upgrade the indoor test and measurement system by providing the Company's MI-3000 Data Acquisition and Analysis Workstation, a MI-4193 Position Controller, a MI-1797(B) Microwave Receiver and other RF components. The facility is scheduled to be operational in the summer of 2007.

Dr. Carlo A. Rizzo, Director, MI Technologies' European Operations, said, "The DTU order is a key achievement for MI Technologies secured with the help of Compomil Nordic Components, our representative in Denmark. The antenna measurement system we install will be used to assess the performance of satellite-based antennas. I am confident that DTU will benefit from the system for years to come."
