MI Technologies to Build Radome Measurement System in Japan
MI Technologies has been awarded a contract to design and build a DO-213 compliant radome test system in Japan. The Company is partnering with Riken Dengu Seizo (RDS), MI Technologies' Japanese distributor for products and systems, who is supplying the test chamber and the RF measurement system. When installed, the radome system will be used to verify the performance of repaired commercial aircraft nose radomes by characterizing RF transmission efficiency. The system will be usable for a large variety of nose radomes for various aircraft including Boeing 737, 747, 767, and 777 as well as Airbus A320.
A typical radome measurement system, shown below, comprises the positioning system, the position control system, the workstation with acquisition and analysis software, the RF instrumentation, and anechoic chamber.
