MI Technologies To Install State-of-the-Art Wireless Antenna Measurement System

ATLANTA: MI Technologies announced today it will design, build and install a state-of-the-art wireless antenna test and measurement system for a leading antenna manufacturer in the U.S.

MI Technologies will provide its MI-2097 Automated Microwave measurement system (AMMS) which allows users to fully automate the antenna measurement process from set up to analysis and reports. The system can be configured to provide fast and accurate microwave test and measurement results for a variety of applications at a rate of 10,000 measurements per second at 90 dB dynamic range.

The new spherical near-field measurement system will be used to test a wide variety of antennas from 750 MHz to 6 GHz. The size and flexibility of this system will allow it to fully characterize the latest antenna designs for broadband wireless, multiband indoor networks and cellular systems. Features such as remote electrical tilt, adaptive arrays, single, dual, triple and quad-band operations, ultra wideband coverage and fast power leveling can be verified and optimized.

John Breyer, President and CEO of MI Technologies, said, "The speed and accuracy of our MI-2097 AMMS will accelerate innovation and give deeper insight into designs for network optimization, multiband operation and integrated functionality.

"Data from the system we will install may be used far beyond the initial design verification stage," Breyer added. "The antenna patterns and propagation profiles it provides will allow network designers to predict the results of antenna configurations and build complex propagation models prior to their wireless system rollout."
